LEROY MOORE III

Leroy Moore III, born May 30, 1977, is a professional golfer from Fort Worth, Texas. Since turning professional in October of 2001, he has played close to 100 events as a professional, with 5 victories and numerous top 10 &25 finishes. When Leroy won his first event he closed with 5 birdies and an eagle in the last 7 holes to gain a come from behind victory.



Besides Leroy Moore III's exploits and hard work on the course, Leroy stays pretty busy off the course as well.



During what is considered golf's off-season, Leroy takes the opportunity to learn new things and explore other areas of interest. Since 2002, Leroy has obtained several different licenses. He has held a Florida Real Estate License, Texas State Mortgage Brokers License, Texas Independent Motor Vehicle Dealers License, and has also studied for his series 7 brokers exam.



It takes only one look at Leroy to notice that he maintains a high level of personal fitness. He is dedicated to physical training and has been since he was in middle school. He loves the gym, the weight room  and the challenges of physical conditioning. He shares his love of fitness with anybody that will listen. He holds 5 fitness certifications and an extensive knowledge of nutrition. He is an avid Crossfitter (www.crossfit.com) and recently built a gym in his home to enable him to do 2 workouts a day to further push that level of fitness that he feels gives him a big advantage on the golf course.



Leroy Moore III enjoys donating his time to causes that are very close to his heart and passion. His main focus is Hope's Door, which is a domestic violence non-profit.  Leroy's mother lost her life to domestic violence in 2001.  He regularly takes time to volunteer teach at The First Tee Program of Fort Worth, where he get to introduce the game that formed his life to many other young people. He also likes to help The Big Brothers/ Big Sisters program. He feels that he has a duty to tell his story and allow kids to see that no road in determined by where you right now.



Leroy Moore III also has a very strong passion for the fights against Drug Driving and Domestic Violence. He is currently looking for more opportunities to put those dilemmas in the forefront of the public eye. He wants to represent the fight against both painful situations. He feels his story of triumph will greatly motivate some people who are going through their own battles with these life changing issues. 



Where it comes to family and friends Leroy is no less focused. He schedules his day in a manner that will always allow him to pick his son up from school and help him with whatever homework needs to be done. He tries to make sure that he is only a call away from any one person that needs his help or guidance. 



He enjoys networking, social events and opportunities to dress to the nines. He presents himself as a gentleman should. He also takes great pride in the fact that he does not drink or smoke.
